⚡️ TL;DR:
- Death is a subject that poses as an absolute within the circle of life. Startups have made measures to extend this mortality through artificial intelligence, not knowing that there might be unintended consequences they need to deal with in the future.
- In Asia, it is not common to talk about death as it remains taboo or putting a curse on yourself – which results in a huge proportion of the population unaware about will creation and other death literacy.
- As a generation heavily dependent on digital products, there are 2 billion active users out of which 16 million users are passing away each year, leaving valuable and sentimental digital assets left unattended after death.
- Blockchain poses an interesting solution for inheritance and digital legacy, whilst solving a problem of managing our digital assets after we die.
- It is a reminder for makers to be thinking of the consequences we are creating with the solutions that we offer. With new technology comes a dependency, it is up to makers to be responsible outputs we place into the world.
